  • Can I upgrade at anytime? Are there any fees to upgrade? Will there be another setup fee issued?

    Yes, you may upgrade your Reseller package at any time without any costs or special operations from your side. The upgrade process if simple and does not change any configuration files for account hosted underneath.

  • Can I move existing sites I am hosting with HostVector to any of reseller account?

    Yes, you may move any account hosted on our server under one roof of reseller package. The process may involve web site being moved from one server to another is sites are spread out on different servers.

  • Will I get technical support? If yes, what kind?

    Technical support will be available to you at no cost. We will help you with every step on your way being Reseller. However, you are obligated to server support to your customers on your own.

  • Should I reseller space to qualify for one of the plans?

    No, you do not have to reseller space to qualify for reseller account. In mater of fact, you may use this space to host accounts for your personal projects, your friends, family or clients. Perhaps, if you are web designer with many sites on your portfolio, you may use this space to collect them and manage them under one roof.

  • What are my responsibilities towards my resold accounts/clients?

    As a reseller, you are obligated to stay in contact with your customers without sending them over to HostVector technical support staff or sales. Billing and support issues must be resolved on your side.

  • Are there any other fees I should know about?

    There are no other fees or hidden fees.

  • How can I accept credit cards online? Who takes care of billing?

    You are obligated to collect funds on your own, either off-line or online from your customers if you choose to have any. There are many places to get a merchant account along with payment gateways allowing to collect money from credit cards or cheques.

  • Will you help me started if I did not use Web Hosting Manager in past?

    Yes, HostVector staff will help you to jump-start reselling project as much as it will be possible. In addition to that we will serve you with online technical manuals which are easy to understand and follow.

  • What kind of technical knowledge should I have to establish myself as a reseller?

    You should have basic understanding of DNS propagation and grasp all feature that cPanel has to offer. Also, some UNIX knowledge might be helpful although it is not required since 99% of functions will be performed via HWM or cPanel.
    If problems arrive involving "under the hood" skills, HostVector will be happy to resolve them for you. We will also teach you what steps we have taken to resolve given issue per your request.
